Golden’s Annual Community Weed Pull

Looking for a fun and relaxed way to be an active member of the Golden community? Interested in environmental issues? Enjoy spending time in the outdoors? Come join us this Saturday, June 24th from 9am- 1pm in a community effort to stop the spread of invasive plants in Golden, BC!

What will the day entail?
9:00am- Meet at Pedestrian Bridge to sign in and listen a short talk on invasive species, how to identify them and how to get rid of them!

9:30am- Distribution of tools. We have everything you need to participate in this event (gloves, bags, digging tools etc.). Dress for the weather, bring some water and wear closed toe shoes.

PULL TIME!- Volunteers will be working in teams along the banks of the scenic Kicking Horse River to pull, Pull, PULL!

1pm- Time to eat! To thank all of our wonderful volunteers for their hard work, we are offering a free lunch for community members who participated in the event!
