Go Wild! Summer 2016

Thursday, August 18, 2016 - Tuesday, August 23, 2016
Location:
BC's Rocky Mountains

In the Kootenays, we live in an endless playground surrounded by mountains, rivers, lakes and trees. Go Wild! takes local youth on a six-day wilderness backpacking trip into their own wild backyards. It aims to connect participants to the landscape, develop leadership skills and inspire a love of the mountains to last a lifetime.

Go Wild! takes youth ages 14-18 on a wilderness backpacking adventure. This summer, guides Dave Quinn and Leah Evans will lead youth on the 6-day backpacking trip into the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The exact route is to be determined given weather and fire conditions, but locations being considered include the upper Elk Valley and the Height of the Rockies.
